Finishing a recording starts a sequence, and Junior names the step it is on:

StageWhat is happening
SavingWriting the finished audio to your computer
UploadingSending it to Junior. Shows a percentage
Processing audioPreparing the recording
TranscribingTurning speech into text
Cleaning transcriptRemoving filler and structuring it
Generating takeawaysProducing the summary and key takeaways
ReadyDone

Files you imported rather than recorded skip the audio stages.

You do not have to wait on the screen. The call appears in its project and fills in as each stage completes, and the page tells you which stage it is on if you open it early.

Junior retries by itself if a stage fails, and says so, with "The system will retry automatically" or "Retrying — hang tight". A single failure is not something you need to act on.

Questions

How long does processing take?

It scales with the length of the call and how busy the service is. There is no figure here, because any figure would be wrong for some calls. The dock gives you the live answer. If a call has been processing far longer than others of similar length, report it.

Can I close Junior while it processes?

Once the upload has finished, yes. The rest happens on Junior's side and does not need your computer. While it is still uploading, leave Junior running.

It says processing hit a snag.

A stage failed. Junior usually retries on its own, so give it a few minutes. If it settles into a failed state, the audio is the likeliest cause. A recording that captured little or nothing will fail here rather than produce an empty transcript. Play the audio back to check before contacting support.

Parts of the call appeared in a different order than I expected.

Normal. The stages complete at their own pace and each part appears when it is ready, so you may get takeaways before you can read the full cleaned transcript. Nothing is missing. It has not finished arriving.

My finished call has no cleaned Transcript tab.

It is a Meeting rather than an Interview. Only interviews get a cleaned transcript; meetings get the original one. See meetings and interviews.
