Discarding instead
The discard control asks first, because there is no undo:

The two prompts you may hit
Under a minute. Junior refuses to finish, showing Keep recording a bit longer and telling you how short it is. Continue Recording resumes with the audio intact; Discard Recording throws it away. There is no way to save something shorter.
Your screen turned off. If your display sleeps mid-recording, Junior pauses and asks Continue recording? on wake: "Recording was paused because your screen turned off. Resume where you left off, or stop and save what you have so far." Take Resume Recording to carry on, or Stop Recording to keep what you have.
Junior may also notice the meeting has ended and offer to Stop & Save, with Keep Recording if it has jumped the gun.
Questions
I discarded a recording by accident. Can I get it back?
No. Discarding deletes the audio from your computer and there is no copy elsewhere. That is why Junior asks first and says plainly that it cannot be recovered. Contact support if the call was important; there is nothing to recover, but they can help you work out what to do next.
My screen slept. Did I lose the audio while it was off?
You lost whatever was said between the display sleeping and you resuming, because Junior pauses rather than continuing to record. Everything before the pause is intact. For a long call you want to sit through, stop the display sleeping: plug in and adjust your power settings.
How long after finishing can I read the call?
The dock at the bottom of the window shows exactly which stage it is on. It depends on the length of the call, and we would rather not quote a number that turns out to be wrong. If a call is taking far longer than others of the same length, that is worth reporting.
Can I add more to a recording I have finished?
No. Finishing closes the audio for good. If a conversation restarts, record it as a second call and file both into the same project. Pause instead of finishing if you know there is more coming.
What if Junior quits or my laptop dies before I finish?
Junior recovers the recording next time it opens and offers it to you. Occasionally it recovers the call's details and notes but not the audio, and says so. In that case there is nothing to save, and the honest thing is to write up from your notes.
