Find Send Junior to record on a call row or at the top of a project. Junior describes it plainly: it joins the meeting as a participant and records it, with no need for you to be there yourself.

  1. Paste the Meeting URL for Zoom, Teams or Meet. This is the only required field.
  2. Set a Date & time, or leave it as Send now.
  3. Change the Bot name if you want it to appear as something other than Junior.
  4. Set Leave after: how many minutes of silence before it drops off. Five by default.
  5. Press Send Junior.

Junior confirms with "Junior is scheduled to record" for something in the future, or "Junior is on its way to record" if it is going now.

This is the one part of Junior everyone on the call can see. It joins as a named participant and appears in the attendee list, so tell the organiser beforehand rather than letting an unexplained guest turn up.

Questions

How is this different from just recording the call myself?

Normal recording captures your own computer's audio and is invisible to everyone else. This actually joins the meeting as a participant, so it is visible in the attendee list and does not need you there at all. Different tool for a different situation. Use normal recording whenever you are on the call.

What if it cannot get into the meeting?

Waiting rooms, approval-required meetings and passcode links can all stop it, and you will not necessarily be told. If a recording you were expecting never appears, assume it did not get in and check with whoever hosted. For anything important, ask the organiser to admit it.

Does my laptop need to be on?

No. Once sent, it is out of your hands. It joins, records and leaves on its own. You can close Junior and shut the laptop.

What does Leave after actually do?

It sets how long Junior waits in silence before assuming the meeting is over and dropping off. Too short and it leaves during a pause; too long and it sits in an empty room recording nothing. Five minutes handles most calls.

I cannot find Send Junior to record anywhere.

Your firm has it turned off. Several firms have, for compliance reasons: a recorder joining as a participant is a different proposition to one running on your own laptop. Record the call yourself instead.
