Juni is the assistant inside a call. The circular button in the corner of the
recording window opens the chat. Press it, or ⌘J. It offers you a way in:
Ask me anything at first, then things like Want a recap so far? once the
call has been running a while.
Three starting points are offered:
- Summarize so far
- What should I ask next?
- List action items mentioned
Or type your own question. Answers come from the call's transcript, so you can ask about minute five having opened the chat at minute forty.
The conversation continues after the call ends. Ask something mid-call, finish the recording, and the same thread is still there with the finished transcript behind it.
Questions
The chat says it opens once the transcript is ready.
There is nothing to answer against yet. Juni waits for the first transcribed speech rather than guessing, so give it a minute of conversation. If it never becomes available, the transcript is the problem. Check the Transcript tab.
An answer was wrong or missed something that was said.
Mid-call it is reading the live transcript, which is the less accurate version, so a wrong answer is often a mis-transcription rather than bad reasoning. Ask again once the call has processed and you usually get a better answer. See live transcript versus the final transcript.
Does it know about my other calls, or my project?
No. It answers from this call only. Cross-call questions are what Junior on the web is for.
Does it read my notes as well as the transcript?
Treat it as answering from the transcript. If something matters and you only wrote it in your notes, put it in the question rather than assuming it has been read.
On a very long call, does it see the whole transcript?
Not all of it. There is a limit to how much of a long transcript can be considered at once, and a three-hour call exceeds it, without saying so. So on long calls treat a broad question like "summarise everything" with some suspicion, and ask about specific stretches instead.
