End a recording under a minute long and Junior stops you:
This recording is too short
Junior needs at least 1 minute of audio to process a call.
You get two choices:
- Keep recording: the recording carries on from where it was. Nothing is lost, and the timer picks up where it left off.
- Discard call: the recording is deleted.
There is no third option. A recording shorter than a minute cannot be saved.
Questions
Why is there a minimum at all?
Because there is not enough in under a minute for the rest of Junior to work with. Transcription, cleaning, summarising and takeaways all need a conversation to operate on, and a twenty-second clip produces a call with nothing useful in it. Stopping it at the door is better than processing it into an empty page.
I tapped End by accident. Is my recording gone?
No. Keep recording resumes exactly where you were, with the audio so far intact. This is the whole reason Junior asks rather than discarding it. Only Discard call deletes anything.
The conversation genuinely was under a minute. What do I do?
Keep the recording running and say what happened out loud (who you spoke to, what they said, why it was short) until you are past a minute. It reads oddly but it gets the substance into Junior, which is better than nothing being recorded at all.
