Recording does not need a connection. If you save a call with no signal (on a plane, in a basement, on a train) the audio stays on your phone in the upload queue, and Junior sends it on by itself the next time you are online. There is nothing to press and nothing to remember.
What to expect
- Save the call as usual. Nothing about the form changes when you are offline.
- The recording sits in the upload queue until there is a connection.
- Junior uploads it on its own, either the moment you reconnect or the next time you open the app.
- Once it is through, the recording leaves the queue and the call appears in its project.
If you want to check
Open the settings drawer from the header icon and tap Upload Queue. Anything still waiting is listed there; an empty queue means everything has been sent.
Play on a row lets you hear what was captured before it goes. There is also an Upload button, but you rarely need it. Pressing it while an automatic attempt is already running is how a call ends up in Junior twice.
Keep the app installed until the queue is empty. The audio lives on the phone until it uploads, so deleting Junior with recordings still queued deletes those recordings too.
Questions
I pressed Upload and now the call appears twice.
Pressing Upload while an automatic attempt was already running can send the recording twice. Delete whichever copy you do not want. Check the project first; it is quicker than untangling duplicates afterwards. Leaving the queue alone avoids this entirely.
It says uploading but the percentage is not moving.
Give it a minute on a long recording, then leave the app open and check again. If it has stalled, force-close Junior and reopen it. The recording will be back in the queue and will start again on its own. You lose the progress, not the audio.
The same recording keeps failing on a good connection.
Play the row back first. A recording that plays as silence will keep failing, and the problem is the audio rather than the upload. There is no way to recover sound that was never captured. If it plays fine and still will not go, contact support with roughly when you recorded it.
The recording is not in the queue and not in my project.
If the queue reads No recordings found and the call is nowhere in the project, the recording is not on the device any more. Contact support with roughly when you recorded it and which project it should have gone to. There may be a copy on our side that failed to appear.
